This workshop is designed for students interested in bookmaking who have little to no bookbinding experience. You will learn about the architecture of a book, instruction in the use of bookbinding tools, and some basic terminology. We will make non-sewn books, as well as 8-10 pamphlet, japanes, and non-japanese stitches that will help you to understand the fundamental techniques of bookbinding. You will walk away with a small collection of your own hand bound books, and will start the foundation for future bookmaking projects.
